VelVet Eläinlääkärit found ready-to-use, efficient premises at a Kielo property

The newly established veterinary services company VelVet Eläinlääkärit (VelVet Pets Oy) opened its first premises at Kielo’s Tunturi Center property in Kaarina in November 2025. For the new company, finding ready-to-use, functional and practical premises was essential: the goal was to start providing high-quality patient care without the need for extensive and costly renovations.

Finding the right premises played a decisive role in VelVet Eläinlääkärit’s decision to establish the company. Owners Pieta Mattila and Jens Kraushaar say they made the decision to launch operations only after a suitable space had been found.

Above all, the premises needed to be easily accessible and offer a calm environment that would be as stress-free as possible for animals. Tunturi Center brought these needs together, combining good transport connections, a location close to nature and a peaceful setting. One particularly important benefit was the existing fenced outdoor area, previously used by a daycare centre, which proved exceptionally well suited to veterinary services.

Smooth collaboration enabled a quick start

Once the right premises had been found, the collaboration quickly progressed in practice. VelVet Eläinlääkärit was able to carry out essential preparation work on the premises even before business operations began, giving the newly established company an important head start. Kielo also supported the planning of the premises with practical guidance, drawing on its familiarity with the specific needs of the veterinary sector.

Overall, the leasing process was smooth from start to finish. Practical matters were resolved quickly, while larger modifications followed the standard process requiring investment decisions.

Functional premises support everyday work and growth

In everyday operations, the functionality of the premises is reflected in both the staff’s work and the customer experience. Following the latest updates, the premises now meet the needs of both the company and its customers very well. “We have received particularly positive feedback from customers on the bright and spacious premises, as well as the peaceful location close to nature,” says Pieta Mattila. Natural light also supports staff well-being and brings energy to everyday work.

The fenced outdoor area has also proven to be an important added value, improving both safety and the animals’ comfort.

The functional premises have also supported the company’s growth. VelVet Eläinlääkärit has already expanded its premises, and Kielo’s flexible approach has made it possible for the company to grow smoothly. The collaboration has built trust and created a strong foundation for future plans.

For VelVet Eläinlääkärit, the practicality of the premises, the peaceful location and the smooth collaboration have stood out in particular. The premises at Tunturi Center have provided a strong and functional starting point for launching and developing the company’s first veterinary clinic.
