Family business Tamrex moves to Kielo premises in Tiiriö, Hämeenlinna

Tamrex is a professional in high-quality workwear, work shoes, and occupational and fire safety, with 12 stores across Finland. The Hämeenlinna store, which had been operating for 10 years at Parolantie, moved to the newly renovated premises in Tiiriö. 

Tamrex stores mainly operate on rented premises. One of the most important features that Tamrex requires from its premises is a visible location that is easy for customers to access. Additionally, functional parking facilities are a crucial criterion for Tamrex, as customers are accustomed to quick transactions. 

“When choosing a location, visibility is the most important factor for us. It is important for Tamrex to be visible to people. We want people to be able to associate our advertisements directly with the store’s location,” says Tamrex’s CEO, Kirsi Oldén. 

Tailored space solutions through collaboration

Tamrex had been searching for a new space for the Hämeenlinna store for some time, but suitable options were scarce. Thanks to a tip from an active employee, the rental process for the Tiiriö premises finally began last spring. 

“At first, the Tiiriö space seemed too large for us. The decisive factor for us was that Kielo agreed to a setup where the space was divided in half,” Oldén explains. 

In addition to dividing the space, renovations were carried out by renewing the floor coverings and replacing the exterior door with one more suitable for store use. The renovation process was completed smoothly. 

Aiming for long-term collaboration

“The rental process, including the renovations, went very well overall, and the cooperation with Kielo has been excellent. Our opinions were considered at every stage of the process, and we always had enough time to make decisions,” Oldén describes. 

The new store is spacious, and Tamrex’s entire standard product range can be displayed prominently. 

“Our basis is always to stay in the same space for a long time, which is why it is great that the lessor is genuinely willing to invest in the premises. We hope that the cooperation with Kielo will continue for a long time. When the tenant succeeds, the lesser also benefits – it is a win-win for both,” Oldén continues.
