GOGO Express set to open a new gym in Hämeenlinna

GOGO, offering diverse fitness services across Finland, will open a new Express gym in Tiiriö, Hämeenlinna next autumn.
The Finnish fitness club chain GOGO is expanding to Hämeenlinna, with a GOGO Express gym opening at Kielo’s premises in Tiiriö. GOGO Express is part of the Tampere-based family business GOGO, which has been in the fitness industry for 35 years. GOGO Express gyms are large and high-quality yet affordable gyms, where customers are served by knowledgeable staff.
“We have been looking for a suitable location in Hämeenlinna for a long time, and the premises in Tiiriö met all the requirements,” says Harri Ilvonen, the operational manager of GOGO Express.
The new gym will open in a busy area with good visibility. The spacious premises of the former furniture store will undergo a major transformation this summer, with approximately 1000 square meters being converted into a well-equipped gym.
“Dressing rooms and showers will be built, lighting will be renewed, and floors will be replaced. The interior will be designed according to the GOGO brand,” Ilvonen explains.
Well-being is trending
Gyms are versatile meeting places, and for the most passionate gym-goers, they become almost like a second home. GOGO Express gyms are designed as low-threshold places, where people of all ages and levels can work out. Ilvonen emphasizes that the gyms are open to everyone, from beginners to active trainers. What is now of interest to those who are passionate about both sports and health?
“In the gym world, free weight training is currently trending, especially among women. Glute training has also become very popular,” Ilvonen says.
“I have also noticed that young people are increasingly oriented towards well-being and want to take care of themselves, which is of course a very good thing,” Ilvonen adds.

Collaboration with Kielo
Ilvonen says that the collaboration with Kielo has gone well from the beginning. The necessary changes will be made to the new premises during this summer, and the goal is to open the gym by early autumn. Ilvonen mentions that GOGO’s future plans include continuous development of services to meet customer demands. GOGO is excited about the new gym in Hämeenlinna, and it might be possible for the chain to expand further in the city.
“But let’s take it one step at a time,” Ilvonen smiles.
